Beetlejuice 2: Storyline

There is no official information about the plot of “Beetlejuice 2” yet, but it is supposed to be a sequel to the first part and not a remake of the classic. Beetlejuice and Lydia are supposed to meet again. In addition, the film could revolve around Lydia’s daughter, for whom a special actress has been cast.
Beetlejuice 2: Cast

Although no details have been released about the film’s plot, you can look forward to news about the sequel’s cast. Michael Keaton (“Dopesick”) will indeed return to his role of Beetlejuice and all 35 years after the first part.
Some fans have expressed concerns about Keaton already being too old for the role, but Elfman defended the leading man. He said that all the makeup already made Beetlejuice look 150 years old even in Part 1, so Keaton’s age was not a problem.
In addition to Keaton, Winona Ryder (“Stranger Things”) will also reprise the role of Lydia Deetz. At her side, Jenna Ortega (“Scream 6”) will be seen as Lydia’s daughter, a special highlight for all “Wednesday” fans. Likewise, Justin Theroux (“Mosquito Coast”) is to be seen in an as yet unknown role.
Another new cast addition is “James Bond 007: Spectre” star Monica Bellucci. The Italian actress will embody none other than Beetlejuice’s wife. However, more information about her film character has not yet been announced.
Beetlejuice 2: Production
As already mentioned, star director Tim Burton (“Dumbo”) will also direct the sequel. As composer of the film songs, he brings his old friend Danny Elfman (“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”) on board. The screenplay for “Beetlejuice 2” was written by “Wednesday” creators Al Gough and Miles Millar. The film is being produced by Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B.
